She looks a little concerned, like maybe she just broke a nail. You’d probably never guess she is removing some one’s head.  Poor Holofernes, one of Nebuchadnezzar‘s generals, was the lucky guy.

A good many artists have rendered Judith in the act, Donatello, Sandro Botticelli, Gustav Klimt and many more but none better than Caravaggio.
