FairTax Goes On Offense by Runaway Slave | Oct 15, 2010 | Fair/Flat Tax, Income Tax, Taxes | 3 comments Americans for Fair Taxation strikes back against Democrats’ false, negative attacks this Sunday with this full-page newspaper ad published in North Carolina, Arizona, and Florida. Lots more where this came from: 3 Comments Anonymous on October 27, 2010 at 8:47 pm With the number of non federal income taxpayers approaching the critical mass of 50%, never before in our nation’s history have we needed to enact a fair taxation system more than now. See post “Learn to Say No,” at http://www.christianretirement.com America is experiencing problems in many areas. Sometimes, difficult issues must be addressed head on. The Fair Tax would insure that everyone would have the opportunity to step up and pay for the freedoms they so readily and freely enjoy. Does he not? *crickets* Reply Lisa Graas on October 17, 2010 at 12:08 am Here are a few problems I have with this and I’m happy to have it explained to me. Mr. Moffett commented to me about it but didn’t really explain. First, I’m currently only paying 6% sales tax. I don’t have to pay federal tax. I can’t afford 23% sales tax. Second, I have concerns that it won’t bring in enough revenue to sufficiently pay down the debt. Third, if it would cut way back on revenue, what services would be cut? Obamacare rationing is only worse than the poor being pushed out of medical care because it is government taking people’s freedoms away. But realistically speaking, with Obamacare, the elderly are dead. With no Medicare and Medicaid, the poor are dead. Those are my concerns.
