With the number of non federal income taxpayers approaching the critical mass of 50%, never before in our nation’s history have we needed to enact a fair taxation system more than now. See post “Learn to Say No,” at http://www.christianretirement.com America is experiencing problems in many areas. Sometimes, difficult issues must be addressed head on. The Fair Tax would insure that everyone would have the opportunity to step up and pay for the freedoms they so readily and freely enjoy.
Since Rand doesn’t support it anymore, I guess they need to go on the offensive. Does he support it? Does he not? *crickets*
Here are a few problems I have with this and I’m happy to have it explained to me. Mr. Moffett commented to me about it but didn’t really explain.
First, I’m currently only paying 6% sales tax. I don’t have to pay federal tax. I can’t afford 23% sales tax.
Second, I have concerns that it won’t bring in enough revenue to sufficiently pay down the debt.
Third, if it would cut way back on revenue, what services would be cut? Obamacare rationing is only worse than the poor being pushed out of medical care because it is government taking people’s freedoms away. But realistically speaking, with Obamacare, the elderly are dead. With no Medicare and Medicaid, the poor are dead.
Those are my concerns.
